6 If you are planning to transport the GeneSys scrubber, securing the machine(s) is key to keeping the machine(s) protected and in good working condition. Below are some suggestions for how to efficiently and effectively secure the GeneSys™ scrubbers. The GeneSys™ design lends itself to easy trailering and tying down – it only takes two straps strategically located. TRANSPORTING THE MACHINE: TIE DOWN PROCEDURE The GeneSys™ design lends itself to easy trailering and tying down – it only takes two straps strategically located. Solution tank creates easy front tie down locations. Scrub decks lift to an 11-degree “attack angle” for easy ramping. STEP 1 Before transporting up a trailer ramp - remove the squeegee assembly and put it in an open, secure location on the trailer. If possible, wrap with a shipping blanket. STEP 2 Transport machine up the ramp into trailer and position it so that tie downs can be used forward and rear of the machine and lower the scrub deck (with pads on – especially the Orbital!) STEP 3 Open the tank and route tie down straps across the front and rear of the battery compartment as shown here. (Note the placement of micro-fiber cloths or other material to protect the rotomold tanks from scratches). STEP 4 For the front straps, route them to tie down locations forward of the machine. For the rear straps, route them to tie down locations to the rear of the machine. See below. Ratchet tie down until machine is secure.
